Telecom professional with over 20 years of experience combined at AT&T Wireless and T-Mobile US. Formerly a part of M&A teams at both AT&T Wireless and T-Mobile US, then a leader of commercial negotiations for domestic and international roaming at T-Mobile US. Currently the leader of Roaming Strategy at T-Mobile US covering areas including legacy international roaming services, evolving IoT support strategy, and 5G roaming deployments.
LinkedInMichele is a Vice President in the CTO office of Mobileum working on evolution of the existing products portfolio to 5G and new products. From 2015 to 2020, Michele has served as technical director in GSMA where he worked on advanced 4G technologies and has been leading the GSMA 5G activity. Michele has also delivered 5G training to 300+ regulators globally. Prior joining the GSMA Michele worked for Deutsche Telekom where he accrued more than 15 years of experience in standardization of mobile technologies. During this period Michele served as chairman of working groups both in 3GPP (SA1) and GSMA (RILTE). Michele started his career in the research and development team of Fujitsu working on adaptive antennas and physical layer of WCDMA. He graduated in telecommunications engineering at University of Pisa (Italy) and completed his studies at King’s College of London (UK). He is the author of several patents.

LinkedInNermeen is leading Roaming Operations undertaking responsibility for Etisalat worldwide roaming coverage, revenue and budgets management, international A2P SMS revenue development, and Hubbing services administration. Nermeen focuses on devising and implementing long-and short-term strategies to improve roaming and international services through generating new revenue streams, where she joined multinational telecom operators since startup phase till leading the market.
Nermeen is a growth-focused leader with extensive experience in telecom overseeing both technical and commercial aspects with strong business acumen and executive leadership skills through holding diversified positions in multinational organizations like Schlumberger, Vodafone and Etisalat. Nermeen has a B.Sc. in Communications Engineering and holds a Master degree of International Business Administration.
Shamit is responsible for the development and building of GSMA’s new blockchain network for the entire Telco ecosystem. This global intra-telecom network will enable companies to exchange information, secure agreements for services, agree transactions, fulfil services and settle fees in a secure and immutable way.
Shamit is also responsible for GSMA’s Internet Group, the newly created GSMA Internet Group Distributed Ledger Taskforce (DLT) and Blockchain for Wholesale Roaming (BWR) Group which has been leading the effort for launching GSMA’s blockchain network beginning with wholesale roaming use case.
Shamit has a Professional Education in Blockchain – Disruptive Technology from M.I.T. (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), a MBA in Finance from Leeds University Business School, and a BE in Information Technology from Mumbai University.
linkedinSunil has 17+ years of experience in Telecoms, working mostly for tier 1 MNOs primarily in the Roaming & Interconnects domain. He currently works for EE (now part of BT) where he heads up a team looking after roaming products, contracts and footprint expansion. His engagement and contribution within the GSMA is also well recognized in the industry. One of the claims to his fame is his work on preventing roaming voice fraud which is now a de facto solution within most groups and MNOs.
